Frantic State The Band

September 7th, 2007

Hey Hey Hey,

Such a short duration of existence, such adventures and excitement, such highs and lows, such lessons learned, and more to be experienced.

A friend of mine on Irish Rockers once warned me of all the pitfalls and get rich quick merchants that roam around and grab onto those of us that wish get on. Yeah !!!!!!, we learned our lesson but a bit late to do anything about it, so watch out all those who have a dream, no matter how much you advertise your wares, no matter where you post the blogs, the music, the hype, the highs and the lows, it don`t matter, if someone thinks you got what it takes, then they will come to you and ask nothing except that they want to listen, and that they want to help.

And if someone states that if you give them some dosh and in return you will get the right connections, then what you should really do is tell them to jump of the nearest building and impale themselves arse first on the sharpest railings.

And as for your so called friends in the music trade, those that pronounce your band to be so brilliant that it will be harder to fail than make it, well you should ask them to join the PR guy in the last paragraph.

And then there are those that are even closer to the band, who preach the quotations of bullshit only contained in the “.. I can dupe these guys for a lot..” bible, and whose only interest is their own and stuff the rest of them.

I spoke to a guy once, met him in a shop in Kilkenny, he was on the phone to someone about a song he had just released and how it was just about to hit the Billboard Chart. I got talking to him and he said this and that, and that was the big lesson in music is to keep going on, have belief and trust your own judgment and music, conform in the main only to those that you can really trust, but the only one you can trust is yourself. And he finished on a sentence that still sticks in my mind.. ”this music business is full of grabbers, and parasites”, now I believe him. By the way his song did hit the charts, and best of luck to him in the future.

Never invest in a band without legal backup, the words of some are not worth the polluted air manufactured by the breath of the speaker, got hit for a large sum by another one that was close to the band, found out later that his own pockets got lined, and when funds were needed for the band, the funds were gone, god knows where but not to where they should have gone. I can`t think of the proper legal term for this activity at present, but it may be coming up soon in a conversation I aim to have with someone, can`t say who… just yet. But I think its called fraud, could be wrong. But if you buy a share in a company or whatever, ain`t the funds supposed to go into that company, I must ask Willie G when I see him, “what did you do with the money Willie ?”.

Anyway the name is safe, I may change it, but who knows, its a frantic state ain`t it ?.

And last but by no means least, just to say a big thanks to Aidan C, Lora Lee T, and Barry Mc and all the folks whos interest is genuine, and who`s help was fantastic. May you all continue to have a glance at us now and then,  soon you will hear what this bands all about, and that is pure solid down to earth serious rock music.

Back soon…. Ok.

This is amazing, theres never been so much communication between the guys, all be it a bit confused and some harsh words and expletives. pity you could`nt put the energy into other things…., but so what, it seems that on the spot reactions can be the ones that makes sense, in a surrealist way.

Drop the words, and use your brains and your talents. Or you all might end up like Willie G.. ie lost in a land of confusion ~ with nothing to show for whats been achieved so far………………

Think about it, what have you all gained, its a lot less than what you can have..
